Holiday Shouldn'ts

Thursday November 27, 2003
Stormy writes, "All of us have those holiday shouldn’t moment's. You shouldn't try putting the lights up in the dark, you shouldn't wait until the last minute to buy a turkey, etc. What is YOUR holiday shouldn't advice? Tell us what YOUR experience has been.

"Mine: One shouldn't go out and leave the dog and cat loose in the same room with the Christmas tree for when she gets back she will find the Christmas tree toppled on the floor in a scattered mess, presents with torn wrapping paper and the dog sitting there with a piece of wrapping paper clinging to his chin looking at you as if to say, "I didn't do anything, it was the cat." Oh, and the cat was in the window trying to get the silver strands of icicles off of her paws, head and tail.

"Oh, and one other of mine: The very first time I cooked Thanksgiving dinner for everyone, I didn't know that the giblets and neck of the turkey were in a package inside the turkey! I found them when I was spooning the dressing out of the bird at dinnertime!! One should always get that giblet package out of the turkey before stuffing it or cooking it too.

"Okay ... I told you two of mine. Let's hear yours!" Join this discussion
