Spalding Gray - Update

It is with great sadness we report that the body of author and actor Spalding Gray was pulled from the East River off Greenpoint, Brooklyn on Sunday. The city medical examiner has confirmed his identity through dental records and X-rays. Investigation of his death will continue.

Spalding Gray, who had bipolar disorder and a family history of suicide, disappeared on January 10, 2004. We offer his family and friends our deepest condolences at this very difficult time.
