Neurontin for Fibromyalgia
Thursday December 2, 2004
A.D.A.M. defines fibromyalgia (also called fibrositis or fibromyositis) as “a syndrome of unknown cause that results in chronic, sometimes debilitating muscle pain and fatigue.” It is quite common for those with bipolar disorder to also be diagnosed with fibromyalgia. Therefore, it shouldn’t be surprising that a clinical study is now underway to determine the effectiveness of Neurontin (gabapentin) in the treatment of pain associated with Fibromyalgia. Neurontin is an anticonvulsant medication often prescribed in the treatment of bipolar disorder. More about the Study | More about Fibromyalgia
