Bipolar Disorder for Dummies

Thursday January 12, 2006
Are you familiar with the For Dummies series of resource books? I remember getting a hold of my first one way back when you still needed to know DOS commands to find files on your hard drive. Since then, I’ve been hooked. These books have a knack for presenting tons of needed information in an easy to understand format with a sense of humor. And guess what! There is now a Bipolar Disorder For Dummies.

Annie, a member of our forums, writes, "I believe this is a book that should be given to every person that gets diagnosed with bipolar disorder." Join Annie in a Discussion | View the Table of Contents | Read an Excerpt (pdf)

From the publishers, “Want to know more about bipolar disorder? This reassuring guide explains the brain chemistry behind the disease and covers the latest medications and therapies. You get sound advice and self-help techniques that you and your loved ones, including kids and teens, can use to ease and eliminate symptoms, function in times of crisis, plan ahead for manic or depressive episodes, and feel a whole lot better.”
