Medicare Rx

On January 1, 2006, Medicare started a new program to help pay for prescription drugs for people who receive Medicare benefits. This new program, also called Medicare Rx, Part D, or the prescription drug benefit, marks a major change in how many people with mental health needs will pay for their prescription drugs. The National Mental Health Association offers an excellent resource of materials for consumers to better understand what is available.
