Bah, Humbug!

Wednesday December 17, 2008
I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder in May 1999 and began writing my online journal on this site that very day. Approaching my first Christmas as an Official Bipolar Person, I was grouchy and lethargic at the same time, because in addition to BP, I have SAD - Seasonal Affective Disorder.

But this year I had a psychiatrist and, eventually, a plan. I can't say it was wildly successful but it helped.

Read about my first BP Christmas in Bah, Humbug!

I was diagnosed with BPD in 1978 and with Type II diabetes in 2006. Surely there’s someone else out there in the same boat. Any ideas?
(I am religious about taking my meds — am still on lithium for BPD and metformin for diabetes. I’m retired, 65 and very happy — but not as stable as I’d like to be.
