Is Sting bipolar? Or is that just a rumor?

From a statement he made in a 1996 interview, the actor/musician Sting, who was born Gordon Sumner, has been put on list after list of famous people with bipolar disorder. Should he be on those lists? Is he manic-depressive? I've done the research. You decide.
