My name is Sonya, and I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder when I was 22. We knew something was wrong after my grandmother passed away when I was 18. I would fly into rages for no reason at all, become absolutely hyper the next day. The day I sought help was at age 21, when i threw a glass "Visions" pot at my ex-boyfriend's head for no reason...Yes, it hit him.

It took quite awhile to come to the correct diagnosis, and boy was I shocked the day I heard it, because one of my friends has it. I kept saying "No, I don't have it, you don't understand, I am not like my friend." They must have thought I was crazy. They just changed my meds for the first time in two years, so i have no idea how I will react.

Things you don't know about me ... I have a cat, Mindie and two ferrets, Tigger and Ally. Tigger is kinda like our room mascot. I have two dogs named Weezer and Veto, that live at my mom and dad's. I collect thimbles. I have 6 cases full, and like 3 hundred of them. My favorite thing to do is play with my niece, who is almost two.
