On Friday, Day 5, I got into a pair of pants I haven't worn in many months! Wouldn't you expect that to be motivating? Well, I can't explain it, but the last three days of Phase 1, Week 2, went all haywire. I can't document my food precisely, because I'm writing this Monday morning and I've forgotten. I know on Friday I had an Atkins shake for breakfast and the same old salad for lunch. I don't recall dinner, but it was not too bad. I think it was Friday night that a sudden SUPER-CRAVING for chocolate hit me, and I went and extracted a 7-oz. bar of Hershey's Special Dark from my mom's stash. From then on, meals went to hell.

I don't think I ate anything but coffee and chocolate either Saturday or Sunday until about 2:00. I don't think I *did* anything either day except sleep, collect acorns and play a computer game. Saturday night Mom made a reasonable dinner. Sunday afternoon she made a reasonable Sunday dinner. Sunday night I had a tossed salad; the rest of supper was chocolate. In two days i went through a bar and a half of chocolate - and these are the BIG bars, mind you. Late last night I ate peanut butter.

My weight this morning is 176. I've lost 5 pounds. I can tell from my pants. I guess I'm heading into Phase 2 now, especially since I've never stuck cleanly to Phase 1 anyway. I just have to be very cautious about not adding too many Phase 2 foods at one time. The only thing I'm going to add at first is milk with dinner. I've really missed milk!
