Definition: BPD is an acronym widely used in health and mental health literature to reference borderline personality disorder. BPD also frequently denotes bipolar disorder, more frequently seen as BP.

Bipolar disorder (also known as manic depression) is a disease; it is a medical condition that causes psychological problems to such a degree that daily functioning is hampered by the symptoms. The most prominent symptoms of BPD include extremes of mood known as mania and depression.
