Definition:
Geodon - generic ziprasidone - is an atypical antipsychotic medication used in the treatment of schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, bipolar disorder and other mental illnesses with psychotic features.

There is a risk that Geodon could cause a potentially dangerous change in heart rhythm. For more on this, see Geodon Medication Profile.

Geodon has a far lower association with weight gain and hyperglycemia than Zyprexa (olanzapine).
