Luvox (generic name fluvoxamine) is a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI). Although it is only approved in the United States to treat obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), it is sometimes prescribed for the treatment of depression associated with bipolar disorder (manic depression).
