Dianne has been an active member of our Forums since 2001. In November 2003, she eagerly accepted the role of Forum Host volunteering her free time to help provide support, encouragement and a safe nurturing environment for this community. During her nearly six years of volunteer work, she has been promoted to Senior Forum Host, a role now called Forum Moderator. Read through even a handful of posts and you will find Dianne's warm touch and sound advice most especially in the General folder on the Main Forum, where she is the host de jour every day.

Dianne shares, "My therapist started throwing around the word bipolar word in 2001. For many years, I didn’t sleep much in the spring from February to August. I finally got upset with my psychiatrist and he sent me to Dr. S, a mood expert, to be diagnosed. I was diagnosed with bipolar II disorder.

“I came home and googled "bipolar." This is when I found this wonderful online community. A short time later I was asked to be Host. I thank God for my second family every day.

“I'm 58 years young. In 2008, our oldest daughter and son-in-law made me a first-time Grandma to little Cole. He is such a delight. My husband of 33 years is also pretty happy! We have another daughter, Jennifer, who just got her Master’s in Psychology & Counseling. Our surprise baby Brett will be 20 years old this July. He is actually making the teenage years fun, if you can imagine.

“I eagerly hope to meet you all in the General folder.”
