Tardive dyskinesia is a movement disorder caused by long-term use of certain medications. It is a very serious side effect of antipsychotic medications in particular, and patients taking such drugs should know what to watch for. Some symptoms include uncontrolled facial movements such as protruding tongue, chewing or sucking motions and making faces. Why Shouldn't I Drink Grapefruit Juice With My Meds?
Any number of medications can apply to this question: Prozac, BuSpar, Tegretol, Verapamil, Prednisone and a host of others - even Viagra!
