Cymbalta (generic name duloxetine hydrochloride) is a selective serotonin-norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor (SSNRIs) sometimes prescribed for the treatment of depression associated with bipolar disorder (manic depression). The official Eli Lilly web site for Cymbalta notes, “Cymbalta offers relief from both the emotional and physical symptoms that are associated with depression.
