It seems many people are diagnosed with bipolar disorder, only to have the diagnosis later changed to borderline personality disorder or to have BPD added as an additional diagnosis. And sometimes those diagnosed BP may learn about BPD and feel that this condition explains their symptoms better than bipolar disorder does.
