This week I've settled on working three days a week, 10-5, and taking off on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Today was Thursday, and my plan was to rest, do some walking, and gather up more acorns.

I got out of bed around 8:00 and - just didn't get hungry. This is why I don't like a solid breakfast - I'm generally not hungry in the mornings. What I've found is that once I eat anything (besides coffee), from then on I do get hungry regularly. Today, though, since there was no set schedule to prompt me for meals, I didn't have anything but coffee until 3:00 in the afternoon ...

... including my meds. Oops.

During that time I collected a good crop of acorns, did computer work, and even took a 24-minute walk. It was the walk that made me realize I hadn't ever taken my daily meds, because while walking I started to hurt for the first time all day, and that reminded me I'd never taken a pain pill.

I still wasn't very hungry even at three, and absolutely nothing appealed to me. Finally I settled on having an apple with peanut butter and a couple of cheese sticks. The apple wasn't even very good, it was, well, elderly. At 3:25 I went down for a nap and was awakened for dinner at 6:30.

Dinner was a hamburger with mayo again, about a tablespoon - no more - of hash browns, and mixed cauliflower and broccoli. The usual four York Mints and tossed salad rounded out the evening, and for dessert I had an Atkins Advantage bar because I was too sleepy by then to make a ricotta dessert.

I didn't manage to get out to get a new scale yet, but the old scale seems to be encouraging.
