This week's tips are about overcoming obstacles to exercise and resolutions, and finding the right diet supplements to help you lose weight safely. Exciting news is included!

  • Marcia's Walking Tip
If you have fibromyalgia, it's okay - and SMART - to start slow. Walk for just 5 minutes the first day. Not too fast, either. The next day do 6 minutes. The next day 7. When you get to 10, stay there a few days, then increase to 15. Doing it this way, I went from sedentary to walking 80 minutes a day - till winter set in. But that's for another tip!

  • CLA Supplements May Speed Weight Control
Thyroid Guide Mary Shomon reports reports on the exciting news that the natural dietary supplement conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) reduces body fat in people who are overweight.

  • Evaluating Natural Weight Control Supplements
This is a must-read, too. Alternative Medicine Guide Cathy Wong gives essential information about several supplements. Essential fatty acids are good for you - ephedra is NOT.

  • What's Your Excuse?
I'm too busy to exercise. I HATE to exercise! Guide Paige Waehner has answers for these excuses and eight more. Face it: to lose weight gained from meds, exercise is essential. If one of these excuses is stopping you, find out how to overcome it and get moving.
