Lexapro (Escitalopram)

Definition:
Lexapro - generic escitalopram - is a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) antidepressant related to Celexa (citalopram). Celexa has a mirror-image chemical structure, and only half of it actually has an antidepressant effect. Lexapro was created by removing the half that does not help depression.
